Pole Dance Fitness  -  by registration only. Drop in for Pole is $25.00+HST. 4 week class is $90+HST. 6 week class is $125+HST.

Pole dance is a form of performing art, a combination of dance and gymnastics. It involves dancing and performing acrobatic tricks with a vertical pole and is an increasingly popular form of fitness and dance, practiced by many enthusiasts in gyms or dedicated dance studios.
Pole dance requires significant strength, flexibility and endurance. It involves athletic moves such as climbs, spins, and body inversions using the limbs to grip. Upper body and core strength are required in order to attain proficiency, and rigorous training is necessary.

* Curious about Pole Fitness?
Call the studio to request an intro class if you would like to come in to try out some basic moves, spins and the stretching required. (2 people minimum to book special time)
Intro is 1 hour, and attire is barefoot and workout clothing. Shorts or yoga pants are OK.

* Level 1 - 2
Each of these are 4 week programs.
Learn to walk around the pole, some basic strength holds and spins, as well as the strength and stretching required to move you along and prepare for inversions.

* Open Pole (for pole students) drop in allowed
Open to all levels, but focusing on practicing the beginner (level 1-3) moves.

*Pole Flow (for pole students) drop in allowed
Open to girls who have completed up to level 3.  Intermediate class working on inversions and moves learned up to level 5.

* Tech Pole  (for pole students) drop in allowed
For advanced students (past level 4) this class is an excellent add-on to your current leveled class, or as a filler if you are waiting for the next level to start.  Practice moves you've learned, and get instruction to perfect them.

*Practice time: (for pole students only)
Don't have a pole at home but need more time on it than a class allows? There is no instructor for these sessions, but members can come in and work on their moves at their own pace. Non-members can use a drop in punch card, or pay $10 for the hour.

* Level 3-10
Each of these are 6 week programs.
At this point, students should be wearing shorts to class as the skin on your thigh is going to come in handy for helping you grip the pole. A blanket may also be useful.
(Individual level highlights to follow)
Level 3: upside down! that's right, all the preparations have led to this. Inversions will be important to moving forward in levels, as they are the base for many tricks.

Level 4: climbing, chopper, and twisted grip! One handed spins have prepped you for the twisted grip, and now it's time to put  your inner thighs to work!
Level 5: Butterfly hold, and upside down kitty-cat butt circles. We're bringing sexy back. (yeah) All the strength training pays off at this level.
Level 6: Ever fancied yourself as a new year's ball?Get ready to drop! More inverted poses and holds. Grip aids will be your new best friend.

* Pole Yoga (no pole experience needed)
A low intensity class that uses elements of Yoga, but combines it with the balancing assistance of the pole. (fitness only punch card can be used for this class assuming student pre-registers since space is limited-otherwise, pole drop in rate applies to this class without membership.)
