December 21.2020 updated guidelines

COVID_19 updated safety plan

With Cases of Covid-19 on the rise in BC, we ask that you please make sure you are not exhibiting ANY signs of sickness before attending classes here.
Please use the hand sanitizer provided before entry, so that even if you are sure you are clean, other people can be sure too. J Check in at the front to have your temperature taken.
High touch surfaces like door handles, light switches, pens, spray bottles, seating, counters and cubby surfaces, the debit machine, bathroom fixtures and the like will continue to be wiped before everyone shows up, and as needed throughout the night. If you feel better doing it yourself, please help yourself to the wipes and sprays provided.
Weights, mats and pole cloths that are used are one use only, and sanitized or washed nightly before being put back on the left for anyone else to touch. If you have your own equipment to bring, we encourage you to do so.
Poles are cleaned before, after and during classes.
Staying in your cars until class time is highly encouraged and until your class starts, we ask that you wear a mask in the lobby area to avoid cross contamination between changing classes. There will be a 10 minute break between classes so that everyone has space to get their things and exit safely.  If you don’t drive here, please sit in the designated spots (marked with pink tape) to maintain distance between you and others coming out. You can continue to wear your mask during classes – and if you would like to have extra space, just let us know and we’ll make sure you have more distance. We are all friends here.
Please message 604-818-7059 to book yourself in for a class. Classes are limited and by appointment until restrictions are lifted/changed.
During a fitness class, please find a spot (marked on the floor) and try to avoid moving around too much. At the beginning of the class, you will be told what equipment you need so you should have that ready before starting.
For pole classed, please use the outer 4 poles and allow the instructor to use the middle pole for demonstrations. Pole classes may have more than 4 people, but students will be split between floor work and pole work.
Open Pole Classes are limited to 4 people, as there is no instructor.
Memberships are on hold until we can return to a more normal platform and offer you enough classes to make membership worth while. For now, everything will be done by punch card or drop in. If you have a membership credit, it will be applied to a punch card for you.
Please note that you must bring your own water, and try to avoid socializing in the lobby between classes so we can start the next class on time.

Thanks everyone, for your continued participation in keeping us all safe, while still returning to some form of normal life.

COVID-19 re-opening plan and new rules

WELCOME BACK! Covid-19 Safety plan – please read.
-The first person into the studio in the evening will wipe all door handles, bathroom fixtures, pens, light switches, counters and spray bottles with Lysol wipes found at the front. They will prop doors open if they can and put the stand with the hand sanitiser in the entrance.

-hand sanitiser spray will be available in the front entrance, inside and outside the bathroom, on the lobby counter top, and in the studio. Lysol wipes will also be made available for anyone who feels they would like to re-clean anything.

-students will be asked to remain in their vehicles for as long as they can to not overcrowd the waiting room with people. They will be asked to only bring in their wallet or other necessities to avoid cubby use if possible. The lobby has been marked with X’s 6 feet apart and only 10 people can fit waiting for class. Instructor seating has been spaced out and only 3 instructors can be behind the counters at any time.

-class sizes will be limited to: 6 per pole class and 10-12 per fitness class. Spots will be marked on the floor for fitness classes, the poles are already spaced over 6 feet apart.

-class registrations will be used to make sure we don’t have too many people in the studio, and drop ins will be permitted when there is still space.

-If students can bring their own weights, mats or cloths, that is encouraged. If not, after use, the equipment must be put into bins to be cleaned.  Equipment will not be used by anyone else until cleaned. ONE person will be responsible for cleaning the equipment.

-every pole will have a separate pole cleaner bottle, and every student will get their own cloth (or bring their own).  Pole cleaner bottles will be wiped between pole classes with the Lysol wipes provided, or by the one staff member in charge of cleaning.

-ONE person will be responsible for cash/card handling and punch card administration. Each staff member will be assigned a pen with their name on it, and they can still write people into the book but not punch the cards.

-Students are mostly on memberships or punch cards, so the drop ins are minimal and the Moneris terminal is not used often, but if used, will be wiped down with disinfectant before and after use.

-Students will need to bring their own water bottles as the common fridge will be off limits.

-No towels will be used in the bathroom, only disposable paper towel. The bathroom will be cleaned daily, and wiped between classes and hand sanitiser is available inside and outside.

-a thermometer gun will be available for use if anyone thinks they may not be well (and showed up anyway) Please check in at front desk.
-the floor in the studio will be cleaned every night, but if there is a class that requires students to be on the floor, it will be cleaned after that class. Student are (as always) encouraged to wash their hands, or use the available sanitiser as often as they want.

-Special equipment – chairs for Chair Fit will be wiped before and after class and only used for that class. Trampoline handles will be sanitised before and after use as well, and the trampoline frames cleaned by the staff member assigned to cleaning equipment after class.

-If someone feels that they want to wear a mask in the waiting room, that is fine, but during physical exertion, masks will not be permitted for safety reasons.

-fabric hammocks and silks will not be used during this time as cleaning them is complicated, and the virus holds to fabric for longer.

-when class changes happen, everyone should be aware of their spacing in the lobby. When it is possible, the back door can be used to exit the studio.

-as this is all new to all of us, students will be encouraged to voice their concerns and contribute to making the environment safe for everyone.

- we understand that you have not seen your fitness family for a few months, but please no HUGGING at the moment. Air hugs and socially distanced happy dances are totally allowed though. Please feel free to film and post those dances on social media. J

You were all missed very much –welcome back and lets all be safe together!
